MAT BAR, Reykjavík
I've been doing restaurant consulting and helping out restaurant building brands, concept & menus. I loved working on MAT BAR with great designers, carpenters, potteries and a wonderful owner Guðjón Hauksson. They have one of Iceland's best chefs Hrafnkell Sigríðarson in charge of the kitchen and the food is absolutely stunning.
MAT BAR is a modern bar, restaurant and deli. It opens early and closes late. The concept is built around the simplicity of the Italian kitchen and combining it with nordic methods. The outcome is great.
